All State Requirements 2025-2026 

All-State Post Criteria

• Meet Post All-American Criteria
• Donate to Commanders Special Project (MD National Home kitchen project)
• Donate to VFW & AUX MD Joint Project (MCVET)
• Donate to the Department of MD VFW
• COA - Post Commander (or in their absence Sr. Vice or Jr. Vice), must attend at least 1 Department Council of Administration (COA) meeting
• OTI - Post Commander (or in their absence Sr. Vice or Jr. Vice), must attend at least 1 Department Officer Training Instruction (OTI), Multiple opportunities can be provided during District/Post meetings.

All-State District Criteria

• Meet District All-American Criteria
• Donate to Commanders Special Project (MD National Home kitchen project)
• Donate to VFW & AUX MD Joint Project (MCVET)
• Donate to the Department of MD VFW
• COA - District Commander (or in their absence Sr. Vice or Jr. Vice), must attend all Department Council of Administration (COA) meeting. They can be excused from one meeting during the year. The Adjutant must be notified a days’ notice prior to the meeting.
• OTI - District Commander (or in their absence Sr. Vice or Jr. Vice), must attend at least 1 Department Officer Training Instruction (OTI), Multiple OTI opportunities if scheduled/coordinated with Department for District/Post meetings.

If you meet All State Requirements by March 1^st2026, the Department of MD VFW will purchase your All State Hat and they will be presented at the MD State Convention in Ocean City, MD.

If you are unable to meet All State Requirements by March 1^st2026, you are still edible for All State. You have until June 30^th, 2026 to complete All State Requirements. Once All State Requirements are completed, you will be able to purchase your All State Hat at the VFW Store.

(We will be monitoring to make sure everything is completed by Convention, or you will not get a hat presented)
